Konstantina Kapnopoulou (Kapno) is an experimental modular synthesist and live performer based in Berlin. Her primary research is focusing on interdisciplinary live performance in collaboration with dancers. Contextually, her work touches on the rhizomatic post-structuralist model as an opposition to capitalist-inclined tree structures, the importance of liveness and of non-hierarchical relationships between her, the modular system, the dancers and the audience. The performances she is devising act as a breach from social alienation, and they are highly dependent on emergence, chance-driven operations, reciprocity, shared authority and on how the above mentioned aspects act as a barrier towards the current socio-economic system and its subsequent alienation.
